Solutions · Fleet tyre surveys
A yard audit that ends in a report, not a spreadsheet.
A fleet tyre survey in TyreSync walks every wheel position on every vehicle in the yard: tread depth, inflation pressure, damage and photos, captured on a phone that keeps working when the signal doesn't. The fleet gets a branded report and a next-survey date; you get the call-back.

What gets recorded
Every wheel position, every reading, every visit.
Per wheel position the survey records tread depth at inner, mid and outer points, measured inflation pressure against a per-axle target, damage codes and photos where an issue exists, plus up to two spares per vehicle. Each position is then evaluated server-side against the shop's own thresholds (default warn at 10% pressure deviation or 3mm tread, critical at 20% or 1.6mm), so the OK / WARNING / CRITICAL status is computed, not guessed.
- Repeat-survey diffs. Re-inspecting the same vehicle turns readings into a wear rate per position, the number that actually moves cost per kilometre.
- Next-survey dates. The client book knows when each vehicle is due, so the follow-up call is scheduled, not remembered.
- Honest denominators. Blank and unparseable fields are excluded from averages instead of being coerced to zero, so one missed reading never corrupts a report.
- Live share links. Reports go out as hashed, revocable links that open without a login, or as read-only shared documents while the work is still in progress.
How data gets in today
Manual entry by default. Probe-assisted where the browser allows it.
Every plan captures tread depth and inflation pressure by hand, and that is the only way on iOS. Probe-assisted capture is real but deliberately narrow: it rides on Web Bluetooth, which exists on Android and desktop Chrome, and pairing is set up with us rather than self-serve.
| Capture path | What happens | Where it works | Setup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manual entry (default) | Tread depth and inflation pressure typed or tapped in per wheel position | Any phone, tablet or PC with a browser: Android, iOS and desktop | None. Open the survey and capture. |
| Probe-assisted capture | A Bluetooth tread-depth probe feeds readings straight into the position | Android and desktop Chrome only, via Web Bluetooth | Assisted setup: send us the probe, we configure the pairing for you |
The honest edge cases: iPhones and iPads can run every part of a survey except probe pairing, because iOS Safari does not implement Web Bluetooth. On those devices, manual entry is the path. Self-serve probe pairing is on the roadmap; today we configure it for you. Odometer and telematics feeds are available on request.
Offline in the yard
Signal optional, not required.
TyreSync is an offline-first progressive web app: captures write to the device first and sync continuously when signal returns. Queued photos and keystrokes survive a dead phone, and a draft survey started in the yard is open on the office PC by the next sync. Paid plans add a warm-cache read path, so the book itself is usable offline, not just writable.
From survey to money
Readings that turn into rand.
Repeat surveys on the same vehicle produce a wear rate; the built-in cost per kilometre (CPK) calculator turns purchase price, expected life and actual mount-to-removal odometers into estimated and actual rand per kilometre. The alerts feed keeps evaluated issues visible, and scrap analysis shows how much usable tread went past the pull point before the casing came off.
Running surveys across a group?
The Chain / Depot / Fleet tier adds group oversight, a live axle layout on the vehicle page and horse-and-trailer fleet linking, negotiated to your structure. The survey workflow underneath is the same one shops run daily — whether your own surveyors carry it out or a dealer does it under contract.
