What dealers say
Your own system,
under your brand.
South African tyre software splits into two camps: the tyre makers' dealer tools, built to keep you buying their casings, and fleet suites sold to your client. TyreSync is the third option: the shop's own system. Surveys, stock, consignment and reports carry your name, not a tyre manufacturer's.
The short version
If a tyre maker's free tool does everything you need, use it; just know whose interests the paperwork serves. If you want your surveys, stock and consignment in a system that prints your name on the report and sells nothing behind your back, that's TyreSync.
| The question | The usual answer | TyreSync |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the tool | OEM and dealer systems run on their channel: Toolbox, BASys, TrenTyre, Leadertread and Michelin MMS all serve a tyre brand's network first. | TyreSync belongs to your shop. It carries your name and answers to your book. |
| Whose brand is on the report | Dealer systems put the tyre maker's logo on the paperwork. The report is a loyalty tool. | Reports and proposals print on your branding. The client sees your shop, not ours and not a manufacturer. |
| Who it's sold to | The lifecycle suites (Budini BTMS, Intasect and similar) are sold to the fleet, or run as a service on the fleet's behalf. | TyreSync is sold to the shop: your counter, your techs, your stock, your clients' fleets. |
| Consignment & storage | None of the tools we reviewed model supplier consignment or client tyre storage as stock states. | Consignment both directions plus the client tyre hotel, per serial, with settlement reports. |
| Capture without hardware | Pro-grade capture usually means vendor handhelds, probes or RFID kits on top of the software. | Any phone becomes the capture device: a PWA that works offline in the yard, no hardware to buy. |
| Tyre brand coverage | Channel tools are strongest on their own casings and catalogues. | Brand-agnostic: a multibrand master tyre reference plus your own shop catalogue. Every brand on the same register. |
Competitor claims are based on each vendor's public product material; where a vendor has shipped something since, we'd rather hear it than guess.
Where we don't pretend to lead
- Live TPMS and telematics. Michelin's QuickScan plates, Tirematics sensors and GPS-linked suites measure tyres continuously. TyreSync is a survey-and-lifecycle system. If you run sensor hardware, we're the book it reports into, not a replacement for it.
- Whole-fleet operations. Budini and Intasect carry decades of fleet-side features and field teams. If you're a fleet buying tyre management for yourself, they're built for that. We're built for the shop that services fleets.
- Retread plant control. Bandag's BASys runs the retread production line itself. TyreSync manages the shop side of the loop (grades, batches and scorecards), not the factory floor.
- Mining-scale OTR. CONCAT and Kal Tire's TOMS go deep on off-the-road operations at mine scale. Our ground is the commercial tyre shop and its road-going clients.
